Hiking, tennis, country shopping, relaxing, barbeque, you name it,
this is a typical small-town New England Fourth! Saturday there's a farmers market
with produce, crafts and baked goods. Also an air show at Sugarbush Airport ($10).
Or how about a trek up and down a ski trail or two?
They look really
different without snow! And on Sunday, Warren VT, just to our south, has
a nifty little parade.

Mount Taurus Hike - NY

Hudson Highlands State Park
The mountain is located near the town of Cold Spring, NY, and has scenic
views of the old town below, Hudson Valley, Bear Mountain, and Harriman
State Park. Anna will provide directions and car pool information.

Concert in the Park - NYC
Music starts at 8, but we strongly recommend arriving
at 6:30 to be sure of admission to our area. Reservations
not needed, but appreciated by Monday so we know how much room to

Location: Central Park Great Lawn. For the exact spot, see
the map in our flyer.
Join the Swiss Ski Club of New York for two orchestras: New York Philharmonic
followed by the Shanghai Symphony. Music program.
We will be saving space for a large crowd, right in front of the stage. Look for red and
white balloons with flags. Bring your friends, food and
drink, but no tall chairs. And remember it's difficult to get to our spot on the
front center aisle if you arrive at the Great Lawn after 6:30.

Help us celebrate SWISS independence day! (Switzerland's 719th birthday
is officially Aug 1, but the party is July 31). The SSC has long served
food at this festive event, and again this year, we need your help.
Volunteer for a shift by contacting Gisela now! You don't have to
be an SSC Member to join in the fun. You don't have to be Swiss. You
do have to reserve as a volunteer, or else you must
pay the admission charge at the gate. NO EXCEPTIONS.

THIS YEAR THE FEAST HAS MOVED TO THE
CENTRAL PARK ZOO. Come enjoy Central Park
by night!
We'll start setting-up at 4 p.m., finishing about 10
p.m. If you have an SSC T-shirt, apron or cap, please wear it.

food, probably including a barbecue, a visit to the ol' swimming hole, a pick-up
baseball game, hiking, or a walk down country roads (coming back with maple syrup), a little
tennis maybe, happy hour, and of course a party. Repeat. Activity
